Verónica Leiton is originally from Santiago, Chile and has lived for 26 years in Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. She studied a degree in Audiovisual Communication with a specialization in Film Direction and Production at the Institute of Arts and Social Sciences (ARCIS). She also studied to become a Master Craftswoman with a specialty in Goldsmithing at the National School of Craftsmen in Santiago, Chile. He studied Ceramics, Engraving and Monoserigraphy independently, but the most important study that he would carry out is that of Painting in a self-taught way.
Her artwork has been exhibited in 12 countries: USA, Mexico, Chile, Cuba, France, Luxembourg, Greece, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain in more than 80 individual and 70 group exhibitions. The most important are: Individual "Reveries" at Agora Gallery in New York 2006; Collectives at the International Art Biennale in Athens, Greece “Rendez Vous des Arts” 2008; "Across Continents" at the Carrousel Gallery of the Louvre Museum in Paris in 2013 and the XII Florence Biennale in Italy 2019. It has been recognized with the most prestigious awards of the State of Chihuahua, the Chihuahua Award 2007 and 2 occasions as part of the Development and Encouragement Program for Artistic Creation (PECDA) 2000 and 2015. It has been recognized by the Chilean Government, at the hands of Former President Michelle Bachelet with the medal for the vast trajectory and contribution to the strengthening of relations between Mexico and Chile in 2015 and a dozen more awards in Chile, France, Mexico and the USA. Between 2011 and 2012 he won the tender to make the monumental bronze sculpture (6.5 meters high) Flor de Arena, which commemorates the victims of femicide in Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua inside the Campo Algodonero Memorial. She has given about 45 conferences and workshops as well as the creation of educational programs for the Autonomous University of Cd. Juárez in the Bachelor of Education. Veronica has made 5 catalog books where personalities of the Mexican and foreign intelligentsia have written such as Angela Di Bello (Director of Agora Gallery NY), Dr. Rosario Sanmiguel, Dr. Enrique Servín (RIP), Dr. Enrique Cortazar, Dr. Hortensia Minguez and the filmmaker, architect and playwright Leticia Venzor.
